Identification of students in need of intervention
- The system automatically identifies students in need of possible interventions by accessing state test information and behavior information.
- The user can manually identify students in the areas of academic, behavior, physical, speech or language, pre-vocational or vocational, and self-determination, based upon district procedures and other available information.
Information gathering documentation
- Forms to give notice or obtain consent and release of confidential information
- Forms to gather information from teachers, parents, health professionals, academic information, etc.
- Contact log to record information discussed or attempted to be discussed during phone contact, e-mail contact, letters sent and in-person conferences and meetings
- Direct access to state test data
- Complete system to track and manage behavior incidents and observations with development of PEIMS 425 and 435 records, automatic letter generation, and automated behavior analysis
Response-to-Intervention process and documentation
Includes a bank of peer-reviewed research-based strategies for:
- Instructional interventions
- Parental/community involvement
Identifies student strengths and weaknesses by analyzing state test information and behavior information, or strengths and weakness can be manually defined
Built-in research-based peer-reviewed strategies to assist staff in identifying appropriate interventions; includes a description of the strategy, examples, data collection ideas, and supporting research
Intervention tracking, including grids to record data for both academic and behavioral interventions for each intervention level or “tier.”
